City District Government of Karachi (CDGK) decided to construct a 24km long elevated expressway. The work has been undertaken by a Malaysian firm IJM. The design concept has been developed by a consortium of Malaysian and Pakistani Consultants. The expressway consists of prestressed precast concrete super-T type girders supporting reinforced concrete deck slab. The super structure is supported on a single pier with pile cap and piles.

Scope of Services

Local Design support to Engineering and Environmental Consultant Malaysia in the Topographical Survey, geometric & Structure design and supervision of geotechnical investigation works. The Environmental Impact Assessment was done locally by Exponent Engineers staff. Scope of the project works involves Feasibility Study; Project Planning; Preliminary design.
