100 MGD Pump House (Equipped with M&E Pumping Machineries) at Dhabeji

Karachi Water & Sewerage Board (KW&SB) received funds from the Government of Sindh under Annual Development Program for Construction of New 100 MGD Pump House (Equipped with M&E Pumping Machineries) at Dhabeji on EPC / Turnkey Basis. KW&SB awarded the contract to KSB-MADNI-ATL Consortium to carry out the project. KSB-MADNI-ATL Consortium appointed Exponent Engineers (Pvt.) Limited as the Design Consultant for the project. Salient Feature Of The Project were:

• Channel Providing water from the Canal;
• Pump Building (Civil Works);
• Pump and Motors; 6 Nos. of Pumps Connected to 2 Meter dia MS pipe of 15mm thickness (Manifold pipes) to flow meter chamber and finally through valve chamber to main Delivery Trunk at Dhabaji.
• SCADA system;
• Electric Supply (KESC Sub Station);
• Building Area is 75000 square feet;
• Pump house area is 5000 square feet;
• Total pumps are 06 numbers ;
• Operational pumps are 04 numbers ;
• Pump capacity is 25 MGD each;
• Operational Capacity is 100 MGD;
• Pump Capacity is 25 MGD each;
• System Capacity is 150 MGD;
• System Operation is 100 MGD;
• Type of Pump is Vertical Turbine;
• Horse Power (each pump) is 1,580;
• Motor Capacity each Pump is 1,178 KW;
