ASHAR HASHMAT LODI

Mr. Ashar Hashmat Lodi is the Director of Transportation Engineering Department. Mr. Lodi has nearly 23 years of experience in Traffic Engineering, Transportation Planning and GIS Mapping. He has completed his Master’s degree in Transportation Engineering from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok, Thailand in 1996. He has worked on projects involving development of automated engineering solutions for various fields of engineering including transportation and highway projects. He has worked on several projects of national interest.

He has also been involved in the applications of GIS to various fields including transportation and infrastructure engineering. He has also developed processes through integrated use of various technologies including GIS, satellite imagery, GNSS [GPS], Satellite & GSM Communications. Mr. Lodi has also been a visiting faculty member of NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi for the last 10 years. His area of interest include traffic demand modeling, micro simulation modeling of traffic, traffic flows theory and transportation economics.
