Narrative Description of Project:

Al-Raheem Builders and Developers planned a land development scheme by the name of ‘Hakeem Villas’ on 09 acres of land in Karachi closed to Super Highway. The scheme was designed to include total 276 bungalows (86 bungalows of 240. Sq.yds each having covered area of 2018.21sq.ft and 190 bungalows of 120 sq.yds each having 1168.49 sq.ft) Area development including civic amenities like school, Parks, Mosque, hospital, water supply facilty having the covered area of 14175 sq.ft was also a part of this project.

Description of Actual Services Provided by Our Staff within the Assignment:

Basic services included:

To assess the existing environmental and socioeconomic conditions at and around the project site, particularly identify any environmental and social sensitivity areas
To identify the likely impacts of the proposed project on the natural and socioeconomic environment
Predict and evaluate these quantitatively wherever possible and determine their significance in the light of technical, public and regulatory concerns
To propose appropriate mitigation and monitoring measures that can be incorporated into the design of the proposed activities to minimize any damaging effects or lasting negative consequences
To prepare an EMP identifying the procedure for implementation of the mitigations measures, monitoring of environmental conditions and management of solid wastes
To prepare an Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) report in compliance with the legislative requirement of Pakistan Environmental Protection Act 1997 for submission to the respective regional Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
