Narrative Description of Project:

Iron Ore & Coal Berth at Port Qasim was designed and constructed in 1980 to berth ships upto 75,000 dwt. The berth started showing signs of distress in the late 1980’s and was refurbished in year 1990’s. The berth again started showing sign of distress in the early 2000. Exponent Engineers carried out a Technical Survey to establish the causes of distress and remedial scheme.
