Harmain Royal Residency is a residential project on a 3.5 acre land. There are three towers each of a basement, a ground floor and 16 upper floors. The total covered area is 900,000 Sq. ft. The project lies in seismic zone 2B in accordance with the standards of Building Code of Pakistan for Earthquake.
A three-dimensional analysis using advance software such as ETABS & SAFE was used to model the structure and foundation and to observe the structural behavior under different load combinations in accordance with Uniform Building Code -97. Shear Wall-Frame interaction system was adopted for aseismic design of structure. ACI 318-95 was adopted for the design of reinforced Cement Concrete structural members. Live loads of 100 Psf for parking floors and 40 Psf for residential floors were considered.
