Narrative Description of Project:

Exponent Engineers (Pvt.) Limited (EEL) was appointed as Design Consultant by M/S Habib Construction Services (HCL) on Lahore Orange Line Metro Train Project, Package-1. HCL was appointed as a Construction Contractor by Punjab Mass Transit Authority, LDA, Govt. of Punjab for Civil and Allied works on Package-1 from Dera Gujjran to Chauburji (13.6 KM Section). The estimated cost of Orange Line Metro Train Project, Package-1 was 21,409 Million. The principal Consultants on this project were National Engineering Services of Pakistan and China Railway Engineering Consultants Group Co. Ltd. The typical viaducts on this project were initially designed as pre-tensioned pre-stressed Girders. Exponent Engineers were assigned to develop an alternative design based on post-tensioned pre-stressed concept for variable length viaducts

Description of Actual Services Provided by Our Staff within the Assignment:

Exponent Engineers (Pvt.) Limited (EEL) was appointed as Design Consultant and successfully completed the post-tensioned pre-stressed design of 56 variable length girders (21m ~ 30m) and provided the construction drawings for the same. The Design was vetted by the principal consultants and approved accordingly.
