Transaction Advisory Services for Bus Operation Plan for BRTs Orange and Green Line under PPP mode

The JICA identified 6 BRT & 3 MRT corridors for Karachi. These projects are under financing from various sources. The BRT Green Line is a 21 Km long corridor funded by GoP, however BRT Orange line is financed by GoS. In 2016, the plan was that the GoP will only finance infrastructure development however, GOS will finance procurement of buses and operate both lines in PPP Mode. Later, in March 2020, GOS & GoP mutually agreed that operations for both lines, including ITS, Bus, Station Manager & Clearing House, shall also be performed under SIDCL for 3 years after which it will be handed over to GoS. The above agreement b/w GOS & GOP resulted in novation of consultancy agreement to SIDCL in March 2020.
